The Yachtmaster Brushup course will assess your ability and develop your skills as skipper of a cruising sailing yacht on offshore passages by day and night.

Suggested Previous Experience

Your sailing ability should be up to Coastal Skipper practical with a minimum of 50 days [at least 5 days as skipper], 2500 miles at sea and 5 Passages over 60nm, 2 overnight and 2 as skipper. Your knowledge of coastal navigation and meteorology should be to the standard of the current Coastal Skipper shorebased certificate.
